Our Story

The Roots Agricultural Project was primarily built on the foundation of education and the understanding of agriculture, as well as to assemble different disciplines of agriculture.

Back in 2021, Ms. Colette Rieckert, founder of Windhoek Gymnasium, opened Roots Gymnasium after recognizing an increasing demand for modern education programs within the agricultural sector. She had a holistic approach in mind with the aim is to inspire young minds - to become extraordinary through the school’s unique curriculum.

The goal is to develop responsible, independent, and proud individuals who will make a positive contribution to society.

It covers problem-solving, critical thinking, and the development of skills and values. Roots Gymnasium will produce a community of learners who know how to think innovatively, express their ideas, and take charge of their own lives.

The school offers a vibrant, invitational atmosphere where learners enjoy coming to school and acquire a love for learning that will sustain them throughout their school years.
